Antique Russian Niello Cigarette Case
Niello cigarette case with a view of the Moscow Kremlin on the cover and a cartouche on the back, awaiting a monogram. Niello is a mixture of copper, silver and lead sulphides used as a black inlay on an engraved or etched metal. Russian niello work dates as far back as the 10th century.
