Art Deco Diamond and Enamel Brooch by Georges Fouquet
Art Deco geometric black and turquoise enamel brooch with diamonds, set in platinum.
Parisian jeweler Georges Fouquet (1862-1957) joined his father, Alphonse (1828-1911), in the family business in 1891. Most famous for his Art Nouveau creations, his work spanned multiple styles as he adapted to changing times. This brooch reflects the new aesthetic of the Art Deco movement, when sinuous lines and organic forms were abandoned in favor of geometric designs and bold colors.
