Art Deco Enamel Cufflinks by Gérard Sandoz
Art Deco red and black enamel double cufflinks set in platinum.
By Gérard Sandoz, Paris, ca. 1925
Designer Gérard Sandoz descended from two generations of jeweler-horologists. While jewelry was a family trade, it was just one of Gérard Sandoz’s many artistic passions. He also dabbled in cinema, poster design, and abstract painting. Sandoz applied his passion for bold colors, geometric design, and all things modern across a range of media, most notably in his jewelry design. These geometric cufflinks in red and black enamel
speak to Sandoz’s bold, modern aesthetic. His pieces displayed clean simple lines and often included onyx and coral, which echoed the colors of his red and black marble boutique.
