A La Vieille Russie is pleased to present a special exhibition of René Lalique drawings, on view through Mach 29, 2024.

This exhibition offers a rare opportunity to see the thought process behind the work of renowned glass and jewelry designer René Lalique. With 38 drawings exhibited, it’s the largest collection outside of France. Made between 1894 and 1910 and produced in pencil or Indian ink and embellished with watercolors and gouache, Lalique used these drawings for planning designs and presenting them to his clients. All drawings are available individually for sale. This exclusive exhibition will also include a selection of René Lalique jewels.

A La Vieille Russie’s collection of Fabergé drawings will also be on view, alongside a selection of corresponding pieces. Both Lalique and Fabergé exhibited at the 1900 Exposition Universelle in Paris, each receiving top honors.

Lalique expert Nick Dawes will be speaking about Lalique’s life and works on Thursday, November 30th at 6:00 PM. Attendance is limited. Please RSVP by emailing events@alvr.com. Additional dates to be announced.
